What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs,

blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and

format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

The beginning of every college semester means one universal thing: it's time to start shopping for textbooks. They're almost always expensive and sometimes they can be really hard, but textbooks are a necessary part of your college education.Buy earlyAs soon as your professor posts your required list of textbooks, start shopping. The best deals are often the first to disappear, and most university bookstores only have a limited number of used textbooks available.

Be careful if you buy used

Used books are usually the best deal, but they may not always be the best quality. At least with a new textbook you know that all of the pages will be there and there won't be any distracting notes or highlighted sections. Make sure that you carefully examine your used textbook before you pay for it.

Check the edition

There are usually several editions of a textbook, and although there may not be many differences between the 7th and 8th edition, getting stuck with the wrong one can be a big issue. Assigned reading pages probably won't match up correctly and some material might not be present in a different edition. So triple check your textbook to make sure it's the right one, especially if you're buying used online.

Ebooks

There are many cons to buying an electronic copy of your textbook. After all, it's a little harder to lend an intangible textbook to a friend and you can't sell back your ebook for cash at the end of the semester. However, the ebook is a lot easier to lug to class with you; in fact, they can usually be accessed from multiple devices. And the new ereaders have some clever highlighting and research tools that might actually make the ebook a better purchase for you. It all depends on what features you prefer in your textbook.Should you rentIf the course is relevant to your major, it's usually a better idea to buy a copy of the textbook; you might want it later as a reference in your other classes. However, if renting your textbook will be a lot cheaper and you've found a reliable way to get your books than go for it. Just keep an eye out for hidden fees and make sure you're not late returning the rented book.Image:fbt.org
