What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs,

blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and

format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Cozy Up With Boho Chic

Earthy Plant Based Bedding With White and Pink Accents Inspired by @kalynnicholson13

The word urban is associated with the city or area around the city. We can translate this word into a world of  styles that align with city themes -- modern, newage, hipster, boho, to name a few. From here we can think of specifics that fit into each category, like exposed brick wall, steel and chrome, and plants. These are what we aim to bring into the dorm room, then we choose colors to go with them. Since urban is associated with the city, we can use many modern colors like grey, white, black, red, teal, and even wooden patterns. This will start to make more sense as we move into discussing the dorm rooms we have featured!

What we feel is particularly urban with this bedding set is the nod to nature with leaves on the comforter and pillows! In recent years, urban gardening has been taken up by cities all over the world, and now houseplants are becoming incredibly popular! Windowsills have become populated by houseplants -- especially tropical leafy plants, cacti, and succulents. Many bedding pieces now feature plants -- cactus sheets, palm tree pillows, and outdoor landscape tapestries.

Having plants in your dorm room also has some great benefits for your well being. If there’s anything we know about dorm buildings it’s that they are cramped, crowded, and usually have poor ventilation. So, if you don’t have a window to open when you’re in need of some fresh air -- then consider getting a plant! Certain plants can purify the air, others help decrease the likelihood of getting sick, alleviate stress, and increase focus.

Science has also proven that spending time in nature improves our overall mental state of mind. So, we’re just going to say it -- plants make everyone happy and you should get one! If you have a notorious brown thumb -- plants like cacti and succulents are some of them most resilient and require little care, just water them when you remember. If your room doesn’t have a good source of sunlight, don’t worry because there are shade plants that don’t require much light at all -- like snake plants which will tolerate high, medium, and low volumes of light.

To replicate a look similar to this -- start by finding your favorite pieces that feature different plants, you will be building the look around them. Also, try your best to ensure they’re neutrals -- meaning no cacti against a bright purple background. Neutral colors -- white, gray, black, and beige all make great base colors.

From here you can start to choose accent colors that are going to complement your base color and plant designs. These can be more fun colors like pastel blues, reds, purples, yellows, etc. The room we’ve featured used blush pink. Some great items to choose in your accent colors are sheets, pillows, and throw blankets.

Make sure you include your base colors here also, so if you choose a white comforter try a blue throw blanket and sheets -- but incorporate blue and white pillows with a black one to offset the colors.

Then you can include graphic elements like posters and tapestries -- these can be anything and don’t need to fit your color scheme unless you want them to. Tapestries have become a dorm room standard and make great conversation starters because they are focal points in your room!

Any styles can be greeted this way -- if you need help on choosing a color scheme or colors that go together, try a guide to help you with color theory. All you have to do is choose a base color or a graphic pattern then work around it with accents colors, additional pops of another color, and whatever other decor fits your style!

If you love the social media inspired room, or if you are a nature lover who intends to bring all your plants to college, this twin xl bedding may be for you. The cute emerald arrow design looks like little pine trees and offers a nice contrast with a neutral then bright pop of color! You could pair this with more green, black, or even blush pink!

Or go a different direction with your botanical elements and start with this delicate leafy accent pillow! The comforter is a more abstract and geometric take on the plant aspect of the urban theme while the leaf pillow is a more direct assertion of nature.

Wooden Accents All Around

White and Blue Fabrics With Wooden Wallpaper Inspired by @rbwalkes

With this dorm room inspiration -- we are feeling an urban style through the wooden elements. Notice the wallpaper, the letters that make up the name, floor rug, and even the furniture all tie together. This is a great way to utilize the furniture that comes in your dorm room. It will usually be a wooden desk and dresser, so building the theme around those pieces is a great idea!

The wooden wallpaper paired with the area rug make the base elements. The white chair and blue throw blanket are the colors that build around it. White is a neutral, so it pairs with everything and here the blue is acting as an accent color, which we can see in the pillow and second throw blanket.

Overall this room exudes modern since wood has made a resurgence as an architectural element -- you can see repurposed wood walls in the city especially at trendy restaurants and cafes! The hedge wall also acts as a nice backdrop for the light up sign. In many cities you will see walls like this that serve as the backdrop for instagram influencer photos and more. This room is a great representation of a popular picture taking spot in the city!

We know this inspiration piece isn’t exactly nailing the wooden theme, but this dorm room inspiration also plays with a lot of colors! We’ve chosen this rug because of the throw blanket in the image -- both are colorful and modern. If you like the wood element, then choose a similar wooden wallpaper and this area rug will make a nice accent pop of color to go with it.

Exposed Brick City Apartment Vibes

Neutral Gray and White Bedding with Warm Pops of Pink Inspired by @alexandraaolivoo

With our last social media room inspiration idea, we are feeling an urban style through the exposed brick and neutral color choices. As we’ve said, exposed brick has become a popular decorative accent in homes and urban areas within the city. With this particular dorm room, we are feeling ‘studio apartment in NYC vibes. If you love the texture contrast or the feel of the bricks, then bring it into your dorm room with wallpaper. It adds a grunge, yet chic feel to your room because it's rugged but intentionally placed for a stylistic flare. If you come from the city, then this dorm room should feel exceptionally cozy and just like home.

Since the exposed brick wallpaper is white and neutral -- it makes choosing other colors to match extremely easy. The creator of this dorm chose gray, white, pink, and gold. These are very popular and trendy colors, but really any colors would work in this room since it’s mostly all neutral. Pops of warm pink give life to the mostly cool neutral tones.

A great way to make a dorm room feel extra cozy and just like home is to add lots of blankets and pillows -- because you can never have too many blankets, or pillows! The more elements you bring to your room, the homier it’ll feel. If you don’t have any decorations you’ll just be staring at blanket white walls and that will make your adjustment to college even harder. The more touches of you and your style will benefit your mental health in the long run -- trust us!

If you love this style, bring the city inside with this exposed brick wallpaper as your centerpiece and build your room from there. You can choose any colors and textures to go with it! The possibilities are endless.

If you’re not confident in choosing a color scheme that pairs well together, consider purchasing a bedding package. Bedding packages often come with a comforter, sheets, pillows, throw blanket, and other items like bath towels that already come in a color scheme that has been prepared for you. All you have to do is choose the package that has your favorite colors or maybe you even want to choose neutrals and hang tons of colorful decorations.

Overall, bedding packages are a great way to save on headaches because the colors and styles are guaranteed to fit perfectly together. You also don’t have to fuss with buying multiple items at different times because there are many packages to choose from. They are customizable in a sense because  some packages include bare basics like sheets, mattress pad, and a comforter while others come with toiletries, small furniture, storage options, and more -- all matching in colors. These packages can also help with affordability, since you’re buying everything together, the price is usually lower -- especially if it’s closer to move-in-day.

If urban living is your favorite style then these bedding ideas are perfect for you! Once you find your focal point and centerpieces, the colors and accents will come together seamlessly.
